Hi Everyone,

It's official! The Bash 5K is scheduled to begin at 11 AM, the day of the Bash. I now need some help from all you great volunteers. The printable entry form is here. Please print as many as you need and distribute to those you have already invited to the Bash, at your local pet stores, at your local sporting goods stores, at your local vet offices, and anywhere else you can think of. Take a look at the form. I have added 1 or 2 mile turn-around points for kids or those would like to participate in a shorter distance.

Event Description:

Come out for some exercise with your best 4-legged pal and support a great cause at the same time! The walk/run will begin near the Pavilion at Dayton's Triangle Park on Ridge Ave and will also finish there. The course will go through beautiful Triangle Park, along the bike path, and across the bridge into Island Metro Park. We'll do a big loop, go back across the bridge and finish at the Pavilion. Can't make it 3.1 miles? Don't worry, there will be turn around points for a 1 or 2 mile distance. After the race is over, stay for all the excitement of the Boxer Bash! Hope to see you there!

Also, I am currently working on getting sponsors for this event. I am in greatest need of monetary sponsors. I know some of you work in the pet-related field. If anyone thinks the business they work for would be interested in sponsoring this event, a donation of & $150 or more would qualify the business's name/logo to be printed on the official race t-shirt that every participant gets. Others who do not work in the pet-related field, don't hesitate to ask the business that you work for. I work in the motorcycle industry and have already approached my boss about this. I am asking for everyone's help on this. If you have someone you think may be interested or willing to donate, please contact me. I have a great letter to use as a tool in approaching someone about this. All other ideas are greatly appreciated as this is the first year for this and I am just figuring this out. I really think this is going to be a great event and raise a good amount of money for GOBR.
